You have a number of options when it comes to using replies in your bulk text marketing with Sendmode. We know it can sometimes be a little confusing, so this short blog should explain all your options.
When sending your bulk text you may choose to send it as a ‘Repliable’ message. This means your bulk text will be allocated a random mobile number which facilitates the replies. The message will appear on customer’s phone as from this random mobile number. Unfortunately you cannot use the repliable AND a sender ID at the same time because of network restrictions. You can only choose one.
Using ‘Repliable’ does mean that your customers can quickly hit the ‘reply’ button on their mobile phone and send information back to you very easily. Their replies can then be viewed in the ‘Manage my Customer Replies’ section of your Sendmode account.
If you want to use a Sender ID in your message and you also require a reply to your bulk text message, then you must use a Keyword e.g. “Text SEND followed by your answer to 51444”. Keywords are short words that must be entered at the start of a reply to a message, followed by the required information and then sent to a specific shortcode. For example you could send out the following…

Keywords must be pre-ordered with Sendmode, please allow up to 24 hours for registration and set up; keywords are dependent on availability because short codes are shared. Keywords can be used to manage your opt outs as well. E.g. “To opt out text SEND STOP to 51444”.
