Earlier this week 02 Ireland blocked alpha Sender IDs on all SS7 connections, this means all messages appear on the consumers handset with a mobile number instead of your brand name. As brand names are extremely important when sending text message marketing messages, this is a huge issues for SMS suppliers who are now filtered from using this sevrice on the 02 gateway. This confuses consumers and render your message meaningless in many instances.
